I know I would! To go to war and be able to have no sins when you died that was probably a good deal for most people in that era because then you were considered a sin just to be born. You wouldn't have any sins if you died so you would go to heaven and if you lived you would be proclaimed a hero after retaking Jerusalem from the Muslims. You would also become very rich because after you took Jerusalem you would be able to have any riches you found in that city.
